Percussion drilling rigs have almost become rarities these days. Anger’s is one of the few companies still to use this technique, which goes back to the very origins of drilling. One could really call it the original way of drilling, as was used back in 1863 by our company’s founder, Heinrich Anger.
Modern day devices work according to this technique, which is still very reliable and very popular, especially for mineral water wells. Using this method, wells can be drilled with a maximum diameter of 800 mm. Nowadays mobile and stationary percussion drilling rigs with different hook loads are deployed.
